iOS 18 makes it easier to do foreign exchange conversion, here is how

The iPhone 16 series was launched in India on September 9 and the iOS 18 update became available to the public on September 16. This latest iOS version not only improves the user experience with customisable home screens and improved app privacy features but also introduces a significant improvement to the Calculator app, making foreign exchange conversion more accessible than ever.
With iOS 18, users can convert currencies, weights, and temperatures directly within the Calculator app, eliminating the need for external browsers or third-party applications. This feature is particularly beneficial for frequent travellers and expatriates looking to stay updated with the latest exchange rates.
To utilise this feature, you need to follow a few simple steps:
1. Open the Calculator app on your iPhone.
2. Tap the calculator icon located in the bottom left corner of the screen.
3. Toggle on the ‘Convert’ button to access the conversion options.
Once activated, users can convert currencies effortlessly. For instance, if you wish to know the equivalent of 500 dollars in the Indian currency, simply tap the up and down arrow icon above the display line. This action will present a list of available foreign currencies for conversion.
Besides, iOS 18 also brings the ability to fully customise your home screen layout, which is a big upgrade. Users can now freely arrange app icons and widgets, creating a unique, personalised look. Additionally, dark mode icons and customisable tints can be applied, offering users greater control over the appearance of their devices.
The Control Centre has undergone a major overhaul. Users can now resize controls, including those from third-party apps, to better fit their needs. Integration with the Lock Screen and the Action Button is also improved, providing faster access to essential tools and controls. The Photos app in iOS 18 features significant upgrades. A new interface organises memories by events, trips, and collections, making it easier to browse through your photo library. A new “Clean Up” tool simplifies the process of removing unwanted elements from photos.
