    Description

    You are looking at a vintage 14" back saw made in the USA by Henry Disston & Sons. This piece is marked on the medallion and the face of the blade. The etch is very light and can hardly be seen, but is partially visible with the naked eye. The plate sights straight and features  a 5/8" folded back support for stiffness and straightness, and 13 points per inch or a nice cut. The steel is clean, but does show darkening on the back side from previous oxidation. The handle is Beech, and has no splits or cracks, but does show usage and finish wear. It is held tight to the blade with three steel saw nuts, one of which holds the "Disston - USA" medallion. Great for the user or the collector.
