    Description

"This lot reminds me of the way I used to inventory my comics when I was a kid.  If the guy I bought comics from, priced them as 'NM', then that's what I considered them.   It was only after working in my LCS for several years, doing some grading, that I learned how to do it.  Still, purely subjective, many times, UNTIL you get into selling your stuff.   I just RARELY grade my eBay lots as 'NM', even when they are.  Collectors today want to CGC everything and expect everything they send to come back 9.8, and when it doesn't they blame guys like me."
    Every kid loves comics!
Well, at least every kid did until about 1978.
Since then, it’s been the obsession of overgrown lummoxes like me.
    Or perhaps, you?
But I know what you’re saying, “Mike, there are a lot of ‘clip joints’ out there selling comics online.
How do we know we’re getting quality?”
    That’s a great question.
That’s why I devised this handy Standards & Practices Guide for my International House of Kistch.
    MISTER MIKE

    S
10 point Pledge OF SUPERIOR COMIC SALES, SERVICE AND QUALITY
The majority of comics Mister Mike sells are from his personal archives
    (his closet).
Though some are purchased online to fill existing partial sets.
Many are single-owner copies, and when I can recall it, I’ll tell you so.
    O
lder comics don’t have to look like older comics.
My comics are bagged and boarded upon my purchasing them.
Believe me, I’ve “bagged” comics in plastic panty-hose packaging sleeves in years past, but since 1982, it’s been plastic bags and white boards for Mister Mike
    .
All comic purchases will ship bagged and boarded
    .
These bags can sometimes sport my personal inventory tags.
Sometimes they will be new bags, sometimes not.
These tags are generated through Comicbase.
    Comicbase comes highly recommended.
When I decide to post a comic, often I scrawl quality notes on these tags.
Many times the Value on these tags is dated, as I only update these tags monthly on comics valued over each.
When taking pics, I use no photoshop tricks to disguise defects.
If that means the pic is too dark for you, I will supply, in most cases additional photos, but those questioned enclosed with at BEST OFFER tend to get more attention.
I am not currently a professional comic grader.
But I was one in my younger, more pock-marked years for my LCD (Local Comic Shop).
    According to customer
    reviews,
MY grading notes WITH SPECIFICS are some of the most thorough on eBay.
My photos tend to be cover facing shots.
The most glaring defects in a comic WILL be photographed in close-up for you, but on larger
sets I AM limited to 12 pics.
All shipments to you, the buyer, will be packaged in either cardboard cartons or padded, bubble wrapped envelopes.
All purchases will sport the familiar HOUSE OF KITSCH logo
in some way, so your local USPS staffer can give it the same care they give everything else they handle.
The IHOK specializes in selling COMPLETE SETS.
That means your shopping experience for the entire set is OVER, WITH this purchase.
If you feel my prices are a little steep, THAT IS why, it’s a complete set!
A Complete RUN is a complete set for that title.
A LOT is a loose grouping of unrelated issues or titles.
There’s a BIG difference to READERS.
Mister Mike caters to the Comic Reader.
When I value an item at 5, it’s because a collector. reader or a fan will pay that for it.
I’m not really interested in selling to DEALERS or Wholesalers.
“How do you know the difference, Mike?”
    Believe me, I know.
