Owens Pottery 1898 Onxy Majolica Cherubs Jardiniere And Pedestal
Large, very rare and impressive Owens Pottery Onyx majolica three sided rolled handle jardiniere and pedestal with decorative cherubs design in all panels. Wonderful form and great mold, color and glaze. The jardiniere has two hairlines descending from the rim and a chip to the base edge. One line is J shaped and extends to the lower half of the jardiniere. The other line has a filled chip and extends about 5". There is also a short and tight almost non-detectable hairline in the base of the pedestal. Shows very well an no other chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Bottom of both pieces marked with The J. B. Owens Pottery Co. Jardiniere is 12 1/2" tall and 17" wide. The pedestal is 20 1/4" tall and 15" wide. Total height of this massive set is 33 1/2" tall. ESTATE FRESH!
