    Description

MADE IN ENGLAND, THIS "BUCK 245 TOTTENHAM Ct. Rd."  BOW SAW is ready to display and enjoy.  Nice, well preserved original tool.
Note: there's a large but secure split in the smaller handle.
The "Buck" is George Buck, maker of saws, planes and other tools from 1838 to 1915 -- according to online research.
I cannot verify how old it is.  Possibly over 100 years old.  The stamping appears to say "BUCK" "245" "Tottenham Ct. Rd." which was the address of George Buck & Company, in Middlesex county, England.  They made planes and saws.
Well varnished.  I'm told by a British tool dealer that the wood is beechwood, with boxwood handles.  Blade is 14" long, exposed part.  Overall length to the handle ends is a bit over 24".
Elegantly made - 16.7 oz total weight.  I've only seen one other like it ever -- it's for sale now in the U.K. for 75 Euros, which is about .00.  So this one at .95 is something of a bargain.
SHIPPING: Shipping is now FREE, which is to say I'm paying and you're not.  Will be very carefully packed.
