ANTIQUE ATKINS FLOOR SAW- HAND SHARPENED
Here is a fine antique Atkins floor saw in excellent condition. These are scarce saws to find and this one is pretty much full width showing very little use. It has sharp teeth 10ppi and a very unique handle. The wood on the handle looks like cherry wood and is in excellent condition. The shape of this handle is all factory original and in excellent condition. The medallion has the 1887 Grover patent so I would date this saw to the late 1800’s as by 1900 this patent date stamp was dropped. All the hardware is nickel plated usually done for higher quality saws. This is a unique saw that would draw attention in an antique tool collection. Or if you were looking for this type of saw to use it is good to go. A great saw.
